We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Operating Theatre Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team. As an Operating Theatre Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the surgical suite. You will be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, managing surgical instruments, and providing critical support to both patients and surgical staff.

• Prepare the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are sterile and ready.
• Assist in the positioning and draping of patients prior to surgical procedures.
• Monitor and maintain a sterile environment throughout all surgical procedures.
• Provide direct assistance to surgeons during surgical procedures, handling instruments and supplies.
• Coordinate with surgical team members to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols during surgical operations.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs during surgery as directed by clinicians.
• Document all surgical procedures and patient data accurately and promptly.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and providing reassurance.
• Participate in surgical team briefings, debriefings, and continuous education initiatives.
• Assist in post‑operative care, monitoring patient recovery and providing necessary interventions.
• Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials following surgical procedures and maintain cleanliness.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Current nursing license and Operating Room Nurse certification are required.
• Minimum of two years experience working in a surgical or operating room environment.
• Proficient in the use of surgical instruments and sterilization techniques.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
• Ability to stay calm and make critical decisions in high‑pressure situations.
