Role OverviewThe Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting functions, supporting financial analysis, and maintaining accurate financial documentation while delivering high-quality outputs.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage general ledger activities and account reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure tax compliance
- Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and statutory regulations
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
- Monitor financial transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs
- Prepare tax documents
- Compile and analyze financial statements
- Manage budgeting and forecasting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred)
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Exposure to tax preparation and statutory compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero or similar)
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and organizational skills
