Job Description Role summaryThis role is for the Vision division within Med Tech business of Johnson and Johnson in the Middle East and Africa region.
We are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to deliver timely, accurate financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making across the business. The role combines budgeting and forecasting, performance analysis, month end close and reporting, leading finance operations, and close collaboration with operational teams and senior management. Experience with working in matrix organization structure and cross-functional teams, knowledge in regional tax and regulatory requirements and strong ERP/BI skills are essential.
Keyresponsibilities
Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles; build and maintain rolling forecasts and scenario models.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports, including variance analysis and commentary for regional reporting.
Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all Finance Operations and distributor-related queries across MEA, ensuring seamless coordination and resolution. Proactively address issues raised by cross-functional teams and ensure timely payments to distributors, safeguarding business deliverables and overall performance.
Coordinate with the Finance Global Services team and support the month‑end close process by providing necessary accrual entries and reviewing the P&L and Balance Sheet.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardize and automate processes, and lead or participate in key initiatives and ad‑hoc projects.
Provide financial partnering to Vision business, translate financial insight into actionable recommendations. Liaise with commercial team to capture the latest forecasts and highlight Opportunities and Risks.
Monitor KPIs and operational drivers; produce dashboards and management reports using SAP and BI tools.
Perform cost analysis and find opportunities for margin improvement and cost optimisation.
Support statutory and internal audits and answer audit queries in a timely manner.
Perform cash flow analysis and short-term liquidity planning in collaboration with regional treasury.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX controls and regional regulations including VAT and corporate tax.
Conduct various analysis including sales and gross-margin analysis at product & country level, Inventory, SLOB, SG&A etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
MBA or advanced finance certifications (CPA, CMA, CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
A minimum of 5-8 years of finance or accounting experience is required.
Proven experience with ERP systems (SAP) and BI/reporting tools (CFIN/AFO, HFM).
Advanced Excel and Power point skills.
Strong accounting and finance background with an exceptional understanding of sales & marketing needs.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines
Knowledge of SOX controls, US GAAP, IFRS and Taxation
Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
Ability to work independently, influence decision making, think creatively, challenge the status quo, and work across multiple teams.
