Vice President – Finance Business Partner; Retail Banking

The Vice President – Finance Business Partner (Retail Banking) will act as the strategic financial partner to Retail Banking and related business units, providing actionable financial insights, driving performance optimization, and ensuring alignment with group financial objectives. You will own reporting, budgeting, financial modelling, product P&L analysis, and stakeholder engagement to enable decision-making and deliver sustainable business outcomes. This role reports to the EVP & Head of FPA and is based in Dubai.

• Provide strategic financial partnering to Retail Banking leadership; translate business strategy into financial actions and recommendations.
• Lead monthly accounting, financial reporting and commentary for Retail Banking (P&L, balance sheet, cash flows).
• Develop, maintain and analyse detailed financial models and scenario analyses to support planning, forecasting and business cases.
• Drive budgeting, target setting and performance tracking; monitor KPIs (financial and non-financial) and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform client/product/segment profitability analysis and deep-dive diagnostics to identify revenue, cost and efficiency opportunities.
• Support new product launches with financial viability assessments, amortisation management and product P&L ownership.
• Build robust management reporting packs (Retail Business Review, GMC inputs) and deliver clear executive-level presentations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, risk, operations, IT) on business plans, system implementations and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal controls; liaise with auditors and regulators.
• Mentor and guide finance team members; drive capability-building and best-practice financial processes.
• Conduct industry/peer benchmarking to identify performance improvements and best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field; CMA/CPA/CFA preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience in finance business partnering within banking/financial services, ideally in Retail Banking and UAE market experience.
• Strong technical skills in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and modelling.
• Deep understanding of Retail Banking products (loans, mortgages, cards, deposits) and profitability drivers.
• Advanced Excel and presentation skills; experience with ERP/financial systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Knowledge of regulatory and accounting frameworks relevant to banking.
