Job Description
Wood is currently seeking a Project Accountant for a maternity cover (up to 6 months) to join our UAE Business Unit. This is a full‑time, onsite position based in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities- Ensure all accounting entries are prepared accurately and in line with corporate deadlines.
- Ensure invoices are prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with the commercial terms of the contract.
- Ensure cash flow is managed accurately and effectively.
- Calculate billing and cost rates, and analyze margins to manage profitability.
- Prepare annual plan and quarterly reforecast with Business Management and Finance team.
- Focus on cash collection, optimize DSO and minimize unbilled items, and reconcile, analyze and control these balance sheet areas.
- Collect, analyze, interpret financial data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, tools to manage financial data efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather data and ensure accuracy and completeness of analyses.
- Design and develop visually compelling dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate financial insights effectively.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering / Finance / Accounting.
- Professional certification: CIMA / ACCA or equivalent (preferred).
- 3 years financial analysis experience.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Good commercial acumen.
- Systems experience (e.g. Oracle).
- Data analytics skillset.
- Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships.
- Strong ethical values and communicates with openness and honesty.
- Able to demonstrate good communication skills.
- Self‑starter who is eager to learn.
