Job Overview
An Accountant's job involves managing and reporting an organization's finances, focusing on accuracy, compliance, and strategic insights by preparing financial statements, managing budgets, handling taxes, reconciling accounts, and analyzing data to support informed business decisions and ensure financial health.
Key duties include recording transactions, producing reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), overseeing payroll/AP/AR, conducting audits, and advising management on cost savings and profitability.
Key Responsibilities Financial ReportingPrepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports (Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow).
Compliance & TaxesEnsure adherence to laws/regulations, compute taxes, prepare returns, and liaise with tax authorities.
Accounts ManagementReconcile bank statements, manage accounts payable (AP) & receivable (AR), and process payroll.
Analysis & StrategyAnalyze financial data, identify risks/opportunities, suggest cost reductions, and provide financial advice to leadership.
Auditing & Record KeepingMaintain accurate financial records, conduct internal audits, and ensure integrity of accounting systems.
