Wood is currently seeking a Project Accountant for a Maternity Cover (up to 6 months) to join our UAE Business Unit. This is a full‑time, onsite position based in Dubai, UAE.

To ensure all accounting entries within the individual's area of control (i.e. project, contract, service line) are recorded in an accurate and timely manner. This involves the provision of timely reporting of financial data internally to business stakeholders and externally to the client. The role also focuses on analyzing financial data, creating insightful visualizations, and presenting the findings.

• Ensure that all accounting entries are prepared accurately and in line with corporate deadlines.
• Ensure invoices are prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with the commercial terms of the contract.
• Ensure cashflow is managed accurately and effectively.
• Calculation of billing and cost rates, and analysis of margins to manage profitability.
• Preparation of annual plan and quarterly reforecast in conjunction with Business Management and Finance team.
• Focus on cash collection, optimisation of DSO and minimisation of unbilled items together with ensuring these balance sheet areas are appropriately reconciled, analysed and controlled.
• Collect, analyse, and interpret financial data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other tools for organising and managing financial data efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather relevant data and ensure accuracy and completeness of analyses.
• Design and develop visually compelling dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate financial insights effectively.
