Wood is currently seeking a Project Accountant for a maternity cover (up to 6 months) to join our UAE Business Unit. This is a full‑time, onsite position based in Dubai, UAE.

Key Responsibilities- Ensure that all accounting entries are prepared accurately and in line with corporate deadlines.
- Ensure invoices are prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with the commercial terms of the contract.
- Ensure cashflow is managed accurately and effectively.
- Calculation of billing and cost rates, and analysis of margins to manage profitability.
- Preparation of annual plan and quarterly reforecast in conjunction with Business Management and Finance team.
- Focus on cash collection, optimization of DSO and minimization of unbilled items together with ensuring these balance sheet areas are appropriately reconciled, analyzed and controlled.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other tools for organizing and managing financial data efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and ensure accuracy and completeness of analyses.
- Design and develop visually compelling dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate financial insights effectively.
- Bachelors or Masters (Engineering / Finance / Accounting)
- CIMA / ACCA or equivalent (Preferable)
- Data Analytics / Language Certifications
- 3 years financial analysis experience
- Proficient user of Excel
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Good commercial acumen
- Good systems experience (e.g. Oracle)
- Data Analytics skillset
- Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships.

- Able to demonstrate good communication skills.
