Assistant Manager - Operational Risk; UAEN

The Operational Risk Unit is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously enhancing the Bank’s Operational Risk Management Framework in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The unit supports Senior Management and the Board in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating operational risks across all business and support functions. It ensures effective implementation of risk governance, promotes a strong risk culture, and safeguards the Bank against potential operational losses arising from inadequate processes, systems, people, or external events, including fraud and business disruptions.

• Lead operational risk identification and assessment across business and support units (ORCA, NPPA, PIR).
• Develop, monitor, and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and operational risk events.
• Review and challenge new products, processes, and system changes from a risk perspective.
• Conduct risk awareness sessions and promote operational risk culture bank-wide.
• Coordinate investigation reporting, root-cause analysis, and regulatory reporting (e.g., CBUAE).

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in Banking or Risk Management.
• Strong understanding of Operational Risk Framework and Basel guidelines.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certification in Risk Management or Internal Control (preferred).
