To support the Private Markets investment team by conducting due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, benchmarking, and monitoring private equity funds, real estate funds, hedge funds, VC and private credit funds. The role involves fund selection, market research, preparation of investment recommendations, and continuous evaluation of portfolio performance. International market experience is essential.

Experience evaluating private equity funds, VC funds, real estate funds, hedge funds, private credit strategies is essential. Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis comparing fund managers across regions and asset classes. Build and update financial models including fund cashflow forecasting, NAV projections, commitment pacing models, and performance benchmarking.
FunctionalRoles and Responsibilities Due diligence skills
- Conduct due diligence on private equity, real estate, and private credit fund opportunities
- Evaluate fund strategies, historical performance, track records, team capabilities, fees, and alignment of interest.
- Review fund documentation (PPMs, DDQs, LPA terms) and assist in legal and operational due diligence.
- Engage with general partners (GPs), consultants, advisors, and third‑party specialists for due diligence.
- Build and update financial models including fund cashflow forecasting, NAV projections, commitment pacing models, and performance benchmarking.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis comparing fund managers across regions and asset classes.
- Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for IC review with clear merits, risks, and recommendations.
- Develop insights on private market trends, valuation cycles, sector dynamics, and deal activity in global and GCC markets.
- Support post‑investment monitoring including analysis of quarterly LP reports, capital account statements, and fund KPIs.
- Participate in ongoing GP meetings, AGMs, quarterly calls, and maintain updated diligence notes.
- Assist in maintaining portfolio dashboards, exposure analytics, liquidity forecasts, and performance attribution.
- Support the creation and maintenance of a pipeline of fund managers and direct co‑investment opportunities.
- Prepare periodic reporting including performance reports, market updates, and portfolio review packs.
- Inputs to budget or any other ad‑hoc reports
- Extracting on‑demand reports from the investment software (Bloomberg/Burgiss, Pitch Book)
- Provide requested information to finance, legal or any other support functions across the wider group.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Be a team player and contribute towards investment ideas pool/participate in team brainstorming sessions
- Assist other team members, share insights/knowledge and be open to learning new tools/software/systems
- Maintain excellent relationships with different functional units across the wider group
- Maintain relationships with external parties such as brokers, banks and other external asset managers.
- Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s) in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Progress toward completion of CFA/CAIA is a plus.
2–5 years of relevant experience in private markets (PE, real estate, credit, hedge funds, VC), investment research, asset management.
Knowledge and Skills- Strong understanding of private market structures, fund terms, investment strategies, and GP selection criteria Deep understanding of equity and fixed income products: corporate bonds, sovereign bonds / sukuk, credit risk, yield curves, etc.
- Excellent financial modeling and valuation capabilities including waterfall modeling, fund cashflow modeling, and performance attribution.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and critical‑thinking skills
- Ability to interpret complex fund documentation and identify key risks.
- Excellent writing skills for investment memos and clear communication of investment recommendations.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (Pitch Book, Preqin, Bloomberg ideal but not mandatory).
- Understanding of UAE/GCC investment landscape preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work across teams.
- High attention to detail, structured working style, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
