Hotel Experienced and Arabic speaking Cluster Director of Finance for a leading hotel group in the Middle East
This role is based on property in Egypt and hotel experience is mandatory.
We are seeking a strategic, commercially driven Cluster Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of a portfolio of 10 luxury hotels and serviced apartments. This executive role is responsible for providing strong financial leadership, ensuring robust governance, driving performance optimization, and aligning cluster operations with corporate financial strategy.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will act as a key business partner to operational leadership while maintaining close alignment with Corporate Finance functions.
This role requires fluency in English and Arabic and substantial experience in multi-unit hospitality environments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic financial direction across 10 luxury properties, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Partner with the Chief Financial Officer and executive leadership to drive financial performance and long-term value creation.
- Lead the development and execution of cluster-wide financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to support executive decision-making and performance optimization.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting across all properties.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor key financial metrics including GOP, EBITDA, RevPAR, and cost ratios.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations, tax laws, audit requirements, and corporate governance standards.
- Collaborate closely with General Managers and operational leaders to enhance profitability and cost efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth, margin improvement, and operational efficiencies.
- Support capital expenditure planning, asset enhancement initiatives, and ROI analysis.
- Act as the primary liaison between property finance teams and Corporate Finance.
- Ensure consistent application of corporate accounting policies, systems, and reporting standards.
- Support corporate initiatives, audits, system implementations, and financial transformation projects.
- Lead, mentor, and develop property-level Directors of Finance and finance teams.
- Build a high-performance finance culture focused on accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Drive succession planning and strengthen finance bench strength across the cluster.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required).
- Advanced degrees (MBA, Master’s in Finance, or similar) are a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably within luxury hospitality.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multi-unit or cluster operations.
- Proven experience in a complex, multi-property hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of hospitality financial KPIs, asset management, and owner relations.
- Demonstrated ability to align operational finance with corporate strategy.
- Experience reporting directly to C-suite leadership.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial and analytical acumen.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and people development capabilities.
- Advanced financial modeling and performance analysis skills.
- High level of integrity and governance orientation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (required).
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural luxury hospitality environment.
