We are looking for a talent who is suitable for the position of Finance Executive (Dubai) to join Stavian to #GOGLOBAL with the following criteria & work:
The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards, and providing critical financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. You will act as a key link between the Dubai regional office and our Global Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash for the Dubai office.
- Manage Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, and trade financing instruments essential for global distribution.
- Monitor cash flow movements and optimize working capital.
- Liaise with local banks in the UAE for operational requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT laws, including timely filing of VAT returns.
- Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits.
- Stay updated on Corporate Tax regulations in the UAE.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding payments from regional clients.
- Verify vendor invoices and process payments accurately.
- Assist the Regional Director in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with the Logistics and Sales teams to ensure seamless transaction processing.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, or CMA) are a strong plus.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a multinational trading, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Preferred:
Prior experience in the commodity trading, logistics, or chemical/petrochemical industry is highly desirable. - Preferred:
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is a strong advantage. - Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and IFRS.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and general office software.
- Fluent in English (all 4 skills), particularly professional writing and communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, think logically, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and possess strong analytical skills.
