About Your TeamYou will lead and mentor a high‑performing FP&A team, working collaboratively across finance and the wider business. The team is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and advanced financial modelling, while driving technology adoption, automation, and improved reporting tools. Together, you will deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial information that supports strategic decision‑making at the highest level.
Your RoleAs an FP&A Manager
, you will:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic rolling forecasts, including setting and communicating revenue targets and expense limits across departments and subsidiaries
- Manage long‑range forecasting and the development of 5‑year strategic plans aligned with ALEC’s long‑term vision
- Develop financial models and “what‑if” simulations to assess the impact of business decisions, market changes, and economic conditions
- Analyse variances between actual results and budgeted or forecast figures, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
- Prepare monthly Flash reports for the Executive Board, improving efficiency through technology and automation
- Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators relevant to the business and industry
- Evaluate the financial viability of new initiatives, capital expenditures, and potential mergers or acquisitions
- Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements, influencing senior management to implement change
- Manage, mentor, and review the work of FP&A analysts, ensuring high data accuracy and quality of insights
- Support the implementation of new financial systems and reporting tools, maximising value and adoption
- Drive the adoption of enhanced reporting, analytics, AI tools, and automation across the finance function
- Assist in preparing materials and analysis for investor calls, earnings releases, and Board presentations
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or similar
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in FP&A, financial planning, or related roles
- Proven experience leading teams and partnering with senior stakeholders
- Advanced financial, analytical, and modelling skills, including dynamic financial models
- Strong data mastery, dashboarding, and financial storytelling capabilities
- Experience with AI, automation, and technology‑enabled finance solutions
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to influence cross‑functionally
