Financial Director
The Finance Director will be in charge of ensuring the stability of the company’s finances. Finance Director needs to assess financial markets and identify solutions to any issues that may arise, all while preparing reports for management on the company’s financial status to make important decisions about future strategic plans or budgets accordingly. Oversees accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.
As the Finance Director, your pivotal role is to ensure the financial stability of the company.
Responsibilities include preparing comprehensive reports for management, aiding informed decision-making on strategic plans and budgets. Monitoring and analyzing financial trends, implementing growth strategies, and overseeing the annual budget process are crucial aspects of your role. You will lead the accounting department, providing mentorship, and ensuring collaboration with other departments for effective financial planning.
Job Functions/Responsibilities- Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive management.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize returns, manage risk, and enhance investments.
- Assists the CEO in the development of long and short-range development plans that may include demand analyses, resources availability analyses and cost benefit analyses of proposed capital and staff expansions.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liability and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Handle VAT matters ensuring timely payments and reporting to the Tax authority. Prepare year-end accounts, manage the annual audit process in conjunction with the appointed External Auditors to ensure statutory accounts are produced within the required deadlines.
- Perform analytics to monitor the financial efficiency of company operations. Report significant findings and provide strategic insight to the executive team for initiatives and operations.
- Maintain executive responsibility for financial operations, including working capital, capital expenditures taxes, budget, and general accounting.
- Develop and direct financial plans to the strategic business plan, company growth, and market opportunities and direction.
- Develop a communication framework to ensure that the goals are aligned with the company's strategic direction and are understood at all levels.
- Managing forecast, budget and reporting (including Key Performance Indicators KPIs) processes for the full subsidiary P&L, B/S and Cash Flow.
- Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policies, processes, and procedures.
- Supply Chain:
Challenge supply chain forecast with marketing and sales force team. Build purchase plan after consolidating forecast and stock level. - Make comparison between Purchase plan and Budget Projection.
- Develop and control the company’s annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations complied with.
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Direct the development of the annual operating plan, capital budgets, and strategic plans; approves spending to budgetary levels.
- Create a robust costing model and continually improve the budgeting process by educating department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets. Incorporate price fluctuation, demand, supply, distribution, product quality, and consumer interest.
- Proficient in FP&A software and advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills
