Director, Debt Capital Market - DIFC

Bank ABC seeks to recruit a Director, Debt Capital Market (DCM) in the DIFC Office based in the UAE.

The Director, DCM will be responsible to:

• Support the Head of DCM in originating and executing bond and Sukuk transactions and managing the DCM business
• Manage syndicate function for DCM
• Actively support the DCM Head in maintaining repeat mandates from key clients and originating new mandates from the GCC and select international geographies
• Foster strong collaboration across internal stakeholders (coverage and product teams, risk, operations and finance)
• External stakeholder management (engagement with clients, rating agencies, law firms, other DCM / Syndicate Teams, investors etc)
• Lead transaction execution and active management of work streams
• Be an integral member of the DCM team and work collaboratively to achieve the team objectives.

Reporting to the Head of Debt Capital Markets, the job holder will be responsible for:

• Support DCM Head in origination of bond/Sukuk transactions (public and private)
• Identify and pursue new opportunities across GCC
• Take responsibility for specific regions for client coverage and mandate origination
• Develop and deliver client presentations and pitching material
• Responsible for ensuring that key clients are covered with regular market updates, calls etc

• Support the entire deal execution process, from initial due diligence to final documentation and approvals.
• Engagement with internal and external stakeholders to manage key deliverables

• Liaise with FM Sales / investors (internal and external) to manage the distribution of new bond issues.
• Help in book building and pricing discussions to ensure the transaction's success with other syndicates
• Provide advice on pricing, target investors, and distribution strategy
  
  Support DCM Head in managing underwriting positions

• This role is a key support role in building out the DCM platform and maintaining its success
• This role is a key support the Head of DCM in achieving the team's budget
• The role is very demanding in a very competitive market that is dictated by dynamic factors such as liquidity, pricing, rates and risk

• Minimum 6 years of which at least 5 years in investment banking/DCM. Client Facing role is preferred.
• Bachelors Degree in Finance related major. Masters Degree and professional qualification (such as CFA) is preferred.
• Knowledge in Investment Banking products preferably DCM (Bonds and Sukuk)
• Experience in DCM deal origination/ execution and key products within DCM
• Understanding of GCC markets/clients
• Experience in leading all aspects of transaction execution
• Experience in using Bloomberg and Bloomberg related plug-ins (i.e. excel)
• Strong knowledge of power point and excel
• Strong communication skills, in English. Arabic would be preferred.
