Project Accountant

Accountable for the accounting project operations of the company; to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure reported results comply with General Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards.

• Maintain financial control over security systems and managed services projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, variations, and margins to ensure profitability.
• Prepare monthly project financial reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on cost control, revenue recognition, and project performance.
• Manage project billing, including progress invoices, AMC billing, variations, and final accounts.
• Track contract values, change orders, and ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with IFRS.
• Monitor cash flow, aging, and follow up on receivables related to projects and service contracts.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to projects.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, internal controls, and UAE VAT regulations.
• Assist internal and external audits by providing project financial documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–6 years’ experience as a Project Accountant within security systems, engineering services, MEP, ELV, ICT, or managed services environments.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control, contract-based billing, AMC contracts, service revenue, and project milestones.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems with advanced MS Excel skills.
• Sound understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or CMA) is an advantage.
• Experience in CCTV, Access Control, ELV, BMS, ICT, or integrated security projects preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
