Client Relationship Manager
Our client is an asset management Company in the DIFC offering outsourced Chief Investment Officer (CIO) asset management, advisory and arranging services to Family Offices, High Net Worth Individuals and Corporate Portfolio clients in the Middle East. They have extensive investment knowledge, with professional and client networks and seek to provide high quality advisory and asset management support to clients in the region.
The Company will provide its services either on an advisory basis, or via the provision of outsourced CIO services, managing portfolios of assets, depending on the needs of the client.
Job PurposeThe Relationship Manager serves as the main point of contact for all clients. The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to the client's commercial expansion.
Our client will arrange for Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) services and fund selection services, focusing primarily on private markets such as private equity (PE), real estate (RE), private credit (PC), hedge funds (HF), infrastructure, and others. Relationship Managers will have access to top-quartile managers across traditional and alternative markets, including those that are often oversubscribed and even closed. Their scope will be onboarding clients from around the world, excluding the US, while custodizing the assets with international and Swiss banks.
Clients will have the full Know Your Customer (KYC) / Statement of Work (SOW) documentation, as per international and Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) requirements.
- Bring your own portfolio of clients, with a demonstrable history of relationships.
- Identify potential prospects and develop them to become clients of the firm.
- Advise his/her customers with regards to the management of their portfolios and execute their instructions.
- Responsible for identifying new products required in the market and have these periodically developed with specialists within the ICL structure, in line with the DFSA license criteria.
- Constantly explore Investment opportunities with the client per his / her risk appetite.
- Liaise with specialists within the ICL and its custodian banks when required, to structure and supply products and services as requested by the clients whenever necessary.
- Actively introduce clients and prospects to Senior team members and seek guidance and support in terms of relationship management and products to develop them.
- Increase the clients share of wallet and contribute to the diversification.
- Good understanding of the regulatory framework, legislation, and best market practices.
- Our client seeks an entrepreneurial candidate who can manage their own book to generate net new money and revenues for the firm, while identifying new prospects and developing them to become clients.
- Must be from a banking background.
- Strong knowledge of financial products and financial markets.
- Candidate must be able to make positive contributions to the team.
- Fluent English, other languages a plus.
- Impeccable work ethics.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Must have relationship management experience within the banking / private market industry.
- Must have experience in public and private equity, fixed income, hedge funds, private infrastructure and real estate.
- Must have a book size of at least US $100m including UHNWI and family offices. 90% of client's business focusses on the private market, and the candidate book of business must be suited to this model.
