Develop innovative structured products and strategies based on the requirements of clients.
Responsibilities- Design, execute and deliver Islamic and conventional structured products for the firm in mass or private offerings across all asset classes.
- Assist in supervising all process and risk related aspects of the business and ensure that the function is operating within the defined standards.
- Develop products in line with Research calls and views to deliver actionable solutions for the clients. Prepare and develop the marketing material for each product.
- Develop and rollout 10 trade ideas/month.
- Prepare and complete all documentation for offerings in coordination with Legal and Compliance. Secure approvals from Compliance and Risk, in relation to regulatory and process issues prior to rollout.
- Act as a product specialist in the Institutional & HNW segments and participate in road shows and client calls to market and execute trade ideas.
- Develop and intensify counter party relationships to reduce concentration and increase product breadth.
- Assist in generating acceptable audit ratings and satisfactory regulatory reviews.
- Conduct training for new products across the firm.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable AML/CTF rules and regulations as required in the conduct of the role.
- Ensure timely completion of all relevant AML/CTF training provided by the Group.
- Ensure response to AML, CTF & sanctions inquiries in a timely manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance with a CFA or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar sell-side role (Structured Products, Investment Proposition, etc.) in a well-established financial institution or bank.
- Proven track record of successful products and assets under management
- Strong knowledge and experience with multi asset class technical skills such as financial modelling, quantitative analysis, asset allocation and derivatives.
- Excellent understanding of capital markets and workings across all asset classes and payoffs.
- Knowledge of finance and statistics, able to identify revenue enhancing/risk reducing trade opportunities.
- Excellent client management skills; can understand and proactively address different clients’ needs.
- Good numeric skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Good command of English language.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
- Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.
- Has his/her own elevated performance standards and ensures he/she produces high quality work.
- Able to multi-task with efficiency and precision.
- Attention to details; ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.
