Role Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Relationship Manager to drive client acquisition and business development in the exchange‑traded derivatives space. This is a pure hunter role, focused on sourcing, onboarding, and activating institutional investors, corporates, family offices, proprietary trading firms, and high‑net‑worth individuals (HNIs).
The role covers derivatives trading across global exchanges, including equity index futures & options, commodity derivatives, interest rate derivatives, along with structuring bespoke, client‑specific derivative portfolios aligned to risk appetite, trading objectives, and market conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Drive new client acquisition and onboarding for exchange‑traded derivatives, focusing on clients with a minimum investment of USD 100,000 and above.
- Identify, engage, and convert institutional investors, corporates, family offices, proprietary trading firms, algorithmic traders, and high‑net‑worth individuals (HNIs) across regional and global markets.
- Pitch and structure directional, hedging, volatility, spread, and delta‑neutral strategies, aligned with client objectives and risk profiles.
- Educate clients on margin frameworks, MTM settlements, rollover mechanics, contract specifications, and exchange regulations.
- Build and manage a strong acquisition pipeline through cold outreach, professional networks, referrals, exchange events, and industry forums.
- Achieve defined targets across new funded accounts, trading volumes, brokerage revenue, and client activation metrics.
- Monitor market trends including volatility, open interest, rollover activity, expiry behaviour, and global macro events to support client conversations.
- Collaborate with dealing desks, research, risk, operations, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution and regulatory adherence.
- Support business growth initiatives through client seminars, webinars, and market briefings on derivatives, options strategies, and risk management.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- MBA (Finance), CFA, FRM, CA, or relevant market certifications preferred.
- 3‑5+ years of experience in derivatives sales, institutional broking, proprietary trading, structured products, or wealth management.
- Proven track record in new client acquisition and activation within derivatives markets.
- Strong exposure to global exchanges, multi‑asset derivatives, and institutional/HNI clients.
