Overview
Develop investment strategies to establish an investment portfolio that meets cash flow requirements, optimizing the return given a defined and accepted level of investment risk for the company's contingency reserves.
Monitor investment opportunities across asset classes and manage relationships with investment advisors, managers and brokers.
Identify and monitor investment opportunities in GCC Fixed Income Bonds, GCC Equities, Global Hedge Funds and Global Equity Funds. The asset classes that make up the contingency reserve require monitoring, reporting and relationship maintenance with the concerned Advisors, Fund Managers and brokers.
Develop and propose investment strategies that meet the company's financial targets for the short, medium and long term.
Coordinate closely with VP Treasury to identify and forecast available cash resources for investment and to develop an investment plan following the cash flow requirements.
Develop, implement and maintain operating and control systems that allow for the accurate and timely assessment of investment performance and potential risk exposure and monitor the performance of advisors, fund managers and brokers as well as in-house investment management.
Provide regular reporting to the VP Treasury on the development of the investment portfolio and develop recommendations for corrective or optimization action - reporting includes daily cash flow reports on the contingency investment portfolio, daily performance reports on GCC equities, fixed income securities as well as on the development of relevant benchmarks, consolidated monthly holdings reports as well as monthly performance reports by asset class.
Assess and complete new subscription documents in compliance with relevant international standards such as anti-money laundering.
Analyze external economic trends, including the impact of government legislation, political and economic international trends.
QualificationsMaster Degree in Finance. Preferably Certified in Portfolio & Risk Analysis.
7-10 years in the industry.
Knowledge and
Skills:
- Numerate, analytical and methodical; capable of evaluating complex financial information
- Ability to liaise effectively with Fund Managers, Advisors and Brokers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
