Accountant - financial services background

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated accounting professional to maintain and interpret all company financial records.

As a go-to financial expert, the accounting professional will help identify areas for streamlining processes and achieving greater efficiencies while assisting with the smooth daily operations of our finance department.

• Record all the financial and accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger activities in a timely manner in SAP.
• Support finance team in preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements including month and year end closing activities.
• Process payments, issue invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Examine financial statements and records to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Support in preparing quarterly VAT/TAX filings.
• Help establish company best practices related to accounting.

• At least 3-5 years’ experience in handling all finance and accounting functions in ERP environment preferably SAP.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, business accounting, or finance and full or part professional qualifications such as CA/ACCA/CPA will be added advantage.
• Significant experience with office productivity applications specially in MS Excel, with a strong aptitude for learning new systems and approaches.
• Knowledge of standard accounting and bookkeeping principles and best practices and basic accounting principles IFRS and UAE VAT law.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities at the same time, whether working independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of company financial information.

• Hands‑on ERP‑SAP is desirable.
• Experience in the financial sector or banking.
• Minimum of 3‑5 years of work experience in relevant roles in UAE.
