Head of Tax

Own the tax function for our mid‑sized beverage company operating across the Middle East. Define and implement tax strategy, ensure compliance with evolving GCC tax regimes, proactively manage tax risks, and optimise the group’s tax position. Lead direct and indirect tax matters, manage external advisors, and support strategic initiatives such as Transfer Pricing policy design and ERP tax integration.

• Lead all tax activities across GCC markets: VAT, Excise, CIT, Zakat, and Transfer Pricing.
• Design and implement tax strategy, policies, and governance framework.
• Develop relationships with tax authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee timely and accurate tax filings and audits.
• Direct Transfer Pricing strategy, documentation, and compliance.
• Drive ERP/tax technology integration projects.
• Evaluate and manage outsourced tax activities.
• Provide tax advice on business initiatives and contracts.
• Monitor legislative developments; assess business impacts.
• Lead and mentor tax team members; coordinate with Finance, Legal, and consultants.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law;
  Master’s or professional tax qualification preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive tax experience, with at least 5 in a senior/regional tax leadership role in the GCC.
• Expertise in GCC VAT, Excise, CIT, Zakat, and Transfer Pricing.
• Strong understanding of ERP/tax technology and digital tax compliance (e.g., e‑invoicing).
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
