Accounts Assistant – Billing and Tax

GAC is looking for an Accounts Assistant – Billing and Tax to join our global team, based in Dubai.

Could you be the ideal candidate?

The main purpose of the job is to accurately perform the complete billing process for Contract Logistics principals, including reporting and job reconciliation and Tax Compliance, in a timely manner to ensure assigned our customers are billed properly. The successful candidate will also be required to assist credit control in following‑up pending payments; act as liaison for billing disputes; conduct job reconciliations;

ensure job folders have complete documentation; and minimize issues of open jobs opened more than the set timeframe.

• Receive job folders from Admin/CNF and ensure each job folder contains supporting documents to be charged to principal.
• Prepare and send invoices for assigned Contract Logistics principal in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reconciliation of jobs over thirty (30) days so they are either closed or kept open only for valid reasons.
• VAT and Excise Reconciliation and Compliance.
• Assist with CIT analysis and monthly reconciliations.
• Assist credit controllers in collecting receivables and/or resolving disputes.
• Provide ad‑hoc reports upon request from customer and/or accounts supervisor/business analysis manager.
• Prepare and send invoices for delay charges which are received separately from the transport department after the job folder is billed.
• Monitor unbilled custom duty payments and bill to respective principal.

• B. Com / MSc or industry‑related degree.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software.
• In‑depth understanding of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Minimum 3 years in Finance (Billing & Tax) within UAE.
