Transaction Banking services is a division that focuses on handling Trade and Cash Management products and sales for Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB). It offers solutions including:
- Trade Finance – financing for trade transactions.
- Payments and Collections – managing money transfers and receivables.
- Liquidity Management – ensuring businesses have the right cash flow.
- Channel & Technology Integration – connecting systems through APIs, Host-to-Host setups, and other digital tools.
The goal is to help clients and stakeholders manage their transactions efficiently and seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the UAE strategy for Transaction Banking, encompassing Sales, Product Management, Solution Delivery, and Client Services, to meet revenue targets in alignment with Emirates Islamic Bank’s (EI) overall goals.
- Enhance and expand strategic initiatives focused on increasing market share, targeting client segments, and elevating the market profile of EI’s transaction banking business.
- Lead and mentor a team of transaction banking professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Maintain a high awareness of technology, industry trends and competition offerings.
- Develop Structured and Integrated Trade & Cash Management solutions including Supply Chain Financing, Trade Financing, Limited Recourse Receivable Financing, solutions for payment, liquidity, and reconciliation such as Virtual Accounts, Host-to-Host Payments, ERP integrations, electronic banking, API connectivity, and Blockchain solutions.
- Drive revenue growth by effectively cross-selling transaction banking products and services.
- Work closely with Coverage team to ensure the seamless integration of cash and trade product offerings into client solutions.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of the banking and financial landscape in the United Arab Emirates
- Exceptional skills in leadership, communication
, and interpersonal interaction - Proven track record of managing clients and stakeholders effectively
- Strong knowledge of Transaction Banking products, including Trade Finance, Payments, Collections and Liquidity Management
- Experienced with new integration channels and technologies, including APIs, Host to Host and other digital solutions
- Punctual, adequate, presentable, and social
- 15+ years of techno-functional experience in managing Trade and Cash Management products for the wholesale banking
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance related field or a higher finance related certificate (such as CFA, MBA, ACCA)
