** 1. Job Purpose
** AIG’s Internal Audit Group (IAG) provides independent and objective assurance, advice, and insight guided by a philosophy of adding value to improve the operations of AIG. IAG assists AIG in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of AIG’s control environment including risk management, operational, financial, internal control, and governance processes

As the Head of Audit UAE, you will be part of IAG’s EMEA Internal Audit team and you will be in the AHAC Dubai Office, responsible for leading the local internal audit function. You will have an exciting opportunity to learn about AIG’s products and services and enhance your knowledge and skillsets as you participate in audit projects across General Insurance.

You will gain a unique view of AIG as you plan and execute on aspects of the audit process and risk assessment activities, and you will build close working relationships with business and functional leaders, colleagues across other assurance functions, and fellow team members across the globe.

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Experience / Knowledge
** Qualifications &

Education:

* University degree – having completed an accredited training course in the field of insurance or in any other related fields
* A certified professional qualification (e.g. CIA, CPA, CISA, CRISC, CISSP) is preferred

Experience:

* Audit experience within the Insurance Industry
* Experience as a manager of one of the insurance departments of any duly licensed insurance company in UAE.
* Experience in managing relationships with Regulators, Company Boards and Audit Committees.

Training:
* Audit and Insurance related trainings preferred

Knowledge:
* IIA Standards
* Experience with auditing leveraging the use of data analysis tools is a plus (e.g. MS Excel tools, Access, ACL, IDEA, Qlikview, Tableau etc.)
* Deep knowledge of applicable industry laws and regulations
* Strong verbal and written communications in English
** 3. Key Job Accountabilities
** Effectively lead audits for Dubai based internal audit entities. Produce final draft report with succinct and concise issues and meaningful action plans while providing additional advice and insights to the business. Clearly and concisely communicate audit results to senior business and audit management, and regulators. Assist IAG senior management in developing and executing the annual risk based global audit plan.

Influence business in remediating control issues. Actively monitor progress of audit activities and identify potential problems proactively. Collaborate across different global functional audit teams to provide for an integrated and coordinated approach to insurance risks and audit testing. Contribute to the overall effectiveness and value of IAG by recommending and developing innovative approaches and solutions Represent the internal audit function as part of the local Senior Management team.
