Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. This role is essential for maintaining the financial health and transparency of the organization.

• Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
• Prepare and examine financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Process payroll and manage employee expense claims.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Support audits by providing required documents and explanations.
• Monitor financial transactions and accounting practices to identify and prevent errors or fraud.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to management for decision-making.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis in a specific industry (e.g., manufacturing, nonprofit, retail).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
