The Chief Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition.
The AV Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual systems to support daily functions / special events at Arts Club. This includes cultural programmes, live band performances, DJ setups, music events, art exhibitions, talk shows, restaurant functions, BQT events, privet events, member mixture events and nightclub or all kinds of events.
The role ensures seamless technical execution and high-quality sound, lighting, and visual experiences for members and guests.
What Will You DoYour main duties and responsibilities are:
- Set up, operate, and dismantle audio-visual equipment for daily functions and scheduled events.
- Manage live sound system set up for bands, DJs, cultural performances, and music events.
- Install and configure microphones, speakers, mixers, amplifiers, projectors, screens, and lighting systems with coordination of Engineering/ events departments.
- Coordinate AV requirements for all kind of art shows & exhibitions, talk shows (to be ensuring proper display, sound clarity, and presentation quality).
- Support daily restaurant / Terrace / Events space and nightclub events with professional sound and lighting adjustments also make sure the system working conditions daily
- Conduct sound checks and technical preparations prior to all kinds of events.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Communicate with managers, performers, DJs, and external vendors regarding technical specifications and setup requirements for all kind of Events.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and club operational standards.
- Maintain the stock inventory and health check of equipment’s daily / weekly / monthly basis.
- Maintain and store equipment properly to ensure operational readiness and durability.
- Schedule Event set up in coordination with AMC contractors / Event supports / outsource company etc.
- Maintain and follow club grooming standards
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of all AV systems.
- Coordinate repairs with vendors, when necessary, must be reported all issues to department head / Manager.
- Maintain documentation of equipment’s
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements if required.
- Meeting room / PDR AV system health check PPM
- PPM records must be maintained
- Assist in planning and executing AV system upgrades and re-equipment projects.
- Support installation of new sound, lighting, projection, and control systems.
- Work closely with engineers during Events / renovation or technical enhancement projects.
- Assist in system testing, commissioning, and calibration of new installations.
- Provide technical input for procurement of AV equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and technical standards during works.
- Minimum 2 years of experience required in the current role
- Diploma or certification in Audio Engineering, Sound Technology, or related field.
- Work Experience as an AV Technician in hospitality or similar, events, clubs, or entertainment organisations.
- Strong knowledge of sound mixing consoles, PA systems, stage lighting, and visual display equipment.
- Experience handling live bands, DJ performances, and cultural event setups.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to support Engineering Department operations other than AV
- General Technical Knowledge in MEP system.
- Flexibility to support departments operational requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during live events
- Good communication and teamwork skills
