Role Definition (Job Purpose – Objective)We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior manager who will be responsible for sourcing and securing capacity to support our Power Solutions business. The Caterpillar power solutions business offers our customers end to end power generation solutions for their relevant application. This role delivers business solutions that are globally effective and applicable to support the execution of the Large Electric Power (LEPs) division.
This role is critical to the success of Caterpillars Large Electric Power Solutions (LEPs) Business. This role sources suppliers who will manufacture CAT Solutions (Standby and Prime Genset Enclosure units) for our division, serving our customers in the EAME region. The role requires a strong technical background along with a customer‑focused commercial mindset. The person must bring significant leadership skills along with influencing skills.
What You Will Do: (Main Responsibilities)- Sources, develops and onboards suppliers across the EAME region who can successfully manufacture CAT Solutions, diesel and Gas Genset enclosures along with electrical controls and switch gear.
- Negotiates pricing, terms, and contracts with those sourced suppliers
- Lead a team responsible for ensuring the suppliers meet the key People, Quality, Velocity and Cost metrics for our business.
- Leading a group of individual contributors that deliver projects associated with lean processes, global market understanding, tools, and systems.
- Managing the overall design and development of solutions, collaborates with senior stakeholders and business users to collect VOB/VOC, business requirements, and prepares implementation plans for successful deployment.
- Executing key strategic initiatives such as the development of standardized best practices, offerings, services and development of associated tools & training.
- Driving adoption and identifying continuous improvement opportunities/projects, including standardization and simplification, and mitigating risks.
