Summary
We are looking for a Senior HSE Officer specializing in Infrastructure, Roads, and Bridges to ensure the health, safety, and environmental compliance of projects in this sector. The ideal candidate will oversee the implementation of HSE policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, and provide guidance to project teams.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and implement HSE plans specific to infrastructure, roads, and bridges projects
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for preventive measures
- Provide HSE training and awareness programs to project staff and subcontractors
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to address HSE concerns and requirements
- Monitor HSE performance indicators and prepare reports for management
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Proven experience as an HSE Officer in the infrastructure, roads, or bridges industry
- Knowledge of relevant HSE legislation, regulations, and best practices
- Certification in NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent will be an advantage
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to infrastructure, roads, and bridges projects
- Experience in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and management principles
- Proficiency in conducting HSE audits and inspections
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and educate team members on HSE protocols
- Ability to investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Skilled in emergency response planning and crisis management
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and best practices in HSE for infrastructure projects
