Position: Quantity Surveyor / Civil Engineer

Elliot Scott Group are currently working with a well-established Dubai-based consultancy seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Mid-Level Civil Engineer to join their growing project delivery team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong UAE consultancy experience who enjoys being hands‑on across cost control, technical coordination, and project management on multiple construction projects.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting project delivery across a range of developments, ensuring commercial control, compliance, and technical coordination from pre‑to post‑contract stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documentation
  • Managing pre‑and post‑contract deliverables
  • Assessing contractor variations, claims, interim valuations, and final accounts
  • Monitoring project timelines and reporting on progress and deviations
  • Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications
  • Supporting value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Preparing detailed technical and commercial reports for clients and senior management
  • Ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, local authority requirements, and FIDIC contract conditions
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
  • 5–7 years of UAE experience (consultancy background preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices and consultant‑side workflows
  • Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts, cost control, and variation management
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and QS tools such as CostX or Plan Swift
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
