Project Engineer, Engineering Design & Technologists

Lavita Landscape is looking for a detail-oriented Project Engineer to serve as the critical link between our design studio and field operations. You will be responsible for translating high‑end landscape concepts into technical reality, ensuring that every hardscape structure, irrigation system, and planting plan is executed with engineering precision, on time, and within budget.

• Technical Oversight: Review landscape architectural plans, shop drawings, and MEP requirements to identify and resolve structural or logistical conflicts before construction begins.
• Project Documentation: Manage the RFI (Request for Information) and submittal processes, maintaining meticulous records to ensure field teams are working from the most current revisions.
• Site Coordination: Conduct regular site visits to verify that installations—from complex drainage systems to custom masonry—align with engineering standards and design intent.
• Budget & Schedule Tracking: Assist the Project Manager in monitoring material procurement, labor productivity, and project timelines to prevent scope creep and delays.

• Education & Experience: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Landscape Architecture, with 2–4 years of experience in site development or exterior construction.
• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of AutoCAD and project management software (e.g., MS Project); ability to perform accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimations.
• Field Knowledge: Strong understanding of soil mechanics, grading/drainage, hardscape construction details, and irrigation hydraulics.
• Communication: A proactive problem-solver who can clearly communicate technical constraints to designers and practical solutions to site foremen.
