MEP QC Inspector-Facilities Management

The MEP QC Inspector will ensure all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within Alpago Facilities’ projects are installed, commissioned, and maintained in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, UAE codes, and international standards. The role will focus on quality assurance, site inspections, testing & commissioning, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and FM teams to ensure operational excellence and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Inspections

• Conduct regular inspections of MEP installations (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, ELV, electrical, and other facility systems).
• Ensure all work complies with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and UAE authority regulations (DCD, DEWA, etc.).
• Identify non-conformities (NCRs), track corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.
• Witness and verify testing & commissioning activities and provide approvals before handover.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare QA/QC documentation including ITPs, MIRs, WIRs, checklists, inspection reports, and T&C reports.
• Maintain logs for NCRs, RFIs, material approvals, inspections, and punch-list items.
• Support preparation of handover packages and DLP documentation.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal FM teams to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for site MEP quality issues and liaise with stakeholders for approvals and clarifications.
• Participate in progress meetings, inspections, and close-out activities to resolve technical or quality issues.

Technical Support & Compliance

• Review design drawings, IFCs, shop drawings, and material submittals for compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure adherence to international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO, etc.) and local regulations.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians on QA/QC best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in MEP QA/QC, site inspections, or FM operations.
• Proven experience in residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements (DCD, DEWA, Dubai Municipality).
• Familiarity with testing & commissioning of MEP systems, handover, and DLP processes.
