Civil engineer

Carrying out all technical tasks related to maintenance or construction works for the buildings and facilities affiliated with the department, including preparing plans, engineering drawings, operating plans, and project schedules assigned to him, and working on their implementation in accordance with the best approved standards and technical specifications. This also includes receiving completed projects and coordinating with external entities in line with the instructions of his supervisors.

7 to 10 years with UAE driving license. (building management – maintenance projects)

• Administrative and supervisory oversight of the department’s civil works projects, including construction and finishing works.
• Monitoring contractors and consultancy firms and ensuring their compliance with approved scopes of work, technical specifications, and executed contracts.
• Receiving project observations and technical reports, classifying them, and following up on their on-site implementation.
• Coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure work progress in accordance with approved schedules.
• Receiving completed work, preparing preliminary and final handover reports, and submitting the required technical recommendations.
• Preparing periodic technical and administrative reports on project progress and performance levels.
• Participating in the preparation of technical specifications, scopes of work, and bills of quantities for tenders and project-related contracts.
• Following up on work orders, variations, and changing orders, and ensuring they are approved in accordance with established procedures.
• Supervising the quality of executed work and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
• Following up on emergency work and ensuring prompt response and resolution of observations. Identifying recurring issues in projects and proposing appropriate solutions to minimize delays or repeated faults.
• Maintaining and achieving project-related reports, correspondence, and technical documents. Performing any other related duties assigned by direct management within the scope of responsibility.

• Qualifications:
  
  Master’s degree in engineering or its equivalent in a similar specialization, with 6 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or its equivalent in a similar specialization, with 10 years of experience.
