Technical Director – MEP

We’re acting as a PSL Agency with access to supply 1 MEP Director and 6 MEP Technical Directors to assemble a team of 30 MEP Engineers across 6 concept packages for a major project in Saudi Arabia.

Location: Dubai, UAE / Riyadh, KSA

An expansive, contemporary downtown mega project spanning 19 km² that is part of the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative. Central to this endeavor is a 400 m² cube‑shaped supertall skyscraper, capable of accommodating the equivalent of 20 Empire State Buildings.

This downtown is grounded in sustainability with green areas, pedestrian‑friendly paths, cycling routes, and eco‑zones to enhance resident well‑being and promote healthy lifestyles and community engagement.

The project will feature an iconic museum, a cutting‑edge technology and design university, and a multipurpose immersive theatre, among 80 state‑of‑the‑art entertainment and culture venues, 300 k m² of retail space, and homes for hundreds of thousands of residents.

• Building Services/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree from an internationally recognised university.
• Chartered Engineer affiliated with the relevant professional institute.
• 15 years experience delivering major projects.
• 10 years experience in a multi‑disciplinary team leader position.
• Extensive grasp of MEP and building services design processes, demonstrating leadership in a specialized field.
• Strong emphasis on sustainability.
• Established track record of technical accomplishments, successful project delivery, and high client satisfaction in construction and consultancy settings.
• Skilled in interfacing with contractors, clients, and their representatives.
• Demonstrated leadership, management, development, and coordination skills within the MEP Design Team, including overseeing budgets and scheduling.
• Commercial acumen.
• Oversees coordination with other services and/or sub‑consultants, interacting with multiple internal and external stakeholders while managing change control.
• Effective communication with proficient spoken and written English skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities, adept at building and nurturing relationships.
• Attention to detail and technical expertise to analyze problems and provide solutions to challenges.
• Adaptability to diverse cultural and professional settings.
• Proficiency in commonly used project design and development software, including Microsoft and BIM applications.
