Principal Mechanical Engineer

Building Engineering, Planning and Infrastructure, Strategy and Advisory and Commissioning, Handover and Asset Management.

Lead and manage the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems for high-profile building services, infrastructure, and sustainability-focused projects.

Work closely with clients, architects, consultants, and contractors to understand their requirements and provide design proposals that meet their needs and expectations.

Provide technical guidance, oversee design teams, and ensure compliance with local and international building codes, energy efficiency regulations, and sustainable design principles.

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Membership in the UAE Society of Engineers.
• Dubai Municipality Certified Engineer (Copy must be submitted with the application)
• Preferably Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Preferably with Data Centre experience or/and Certified Data Centre Specialist.
• Proficiency in Revit-BIM
• Must have at least 15 years of design experience
  , with a minimum of 10 years on UAE projects

• Expertise in ASHRAE, CIBSE, NFPA, and local mechanical building codes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in mechanical system design and optimization.

• Provides expert guidance and recommendations.
• Live in the UAE with a valid

• Lead the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems for buildings and infrastructure.
• Ensure mechanical designs comply with ASHRAE, CIBSE, NFPA, local codes, and green building certification requirements (LEED, Estidama, Mostadam, BREEAM, etc.).
• Review and approve detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from concept to detailed design and construction support.
• Oversee technical reports, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards

• Mentor and guide a team of mechanical engineers and CAD/Revit technicians.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation.
• Conduct design reviews, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing workshops.

• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and contractors to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project discussions.

• Implement energy-efficient, net-zero, and low-carbon design strategies.
• Explore emerging technologies, smart building systems, and innovative mechanical solutions.
• Support research into new sustainable mechanical engineering practices.
