Job Description
We are seeking a Sustainability Expert - Carbon & Climate to deliver high-quality sustainability and climate advisory services. The role focuses on GHG accounting and verification, LCA/EPD assessments, decarbonization strategies, climate risk assessments, ESG audits, and carbon market-related projects.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong Environmental Engineer with consulting experience, a positive and proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Conduct Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions calculations in accordance with IPCC Guidelines, ISO 14064-1, GHG Protocol, CBAM requirements.
- Perform GHG verification and validation activities in line with: ISO 14064-3, International verification standards.
- Develop decarbonization strategies and carbon reduction roadmaps for industrial facilities aligned with: SBTi requirements, Net-zero and corporate climate commitments.
- Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and prepare Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
- Support climate project calculation, validation, and verification (e.g., VCS and other voluntary carbon standards).
- Perform climate risk assessments aligned with: IFRS S2, TCFD framework.
- Conduct environmental and ESG audits against: UAE environmental legislation & International environmental standards.
- Provide advisory support for ESG ratings and disclosures, including: CDP, Eco Vadis, Other ESG benchmarking platforms.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, client presentations, and audit documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering (required)
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in sustainability, carbon accounting, or climate consulting
- Strong knowledge of international sustainability and carbon standards.
- GHG accounting and reporting (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol, IPCC)
- GHG verification and audit processes
- Industrial decarbonisation planning
- LCA methodology and EPD development
- Climate-related financial risk assessments (IFRS S2 / TCFD)
- ESG environmental audits and compliance
- Carbon market mechanisms and climate project methodologies
- Familiarity with CBAM requirements
