Stantec is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi.

• Monitoring the Mechanical works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
• Reviewing, approving and processing Mechanical technical submittals.
• Prepare preliminary answers for RFI's related to Mechanical works.
• Coordinating and supervising the pre-installation work of selected Mechanical activities and operations.
• Reviewing contractor's Mechanical change order proposals and preparing technical recommendations to Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Liaison with the necessary sub-consultants.
• Assist with review of contractors claims related to Mechanical works and preparing technical recommendations for claims.
• Reviewing the contractor's project record documents relevant to their discipline.
• Assisting with the inspection or inspecting of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the Mechanical works.

• Relevant engineering degree from recognized university and at least 15 years of design, construction and supervision experience of rising mains and pumping station.
• Full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the Emirates of Dubai, including pipelines, VC, WO, AV, connection chambers and pumping station works, and design of infrastructure works.
• Experience dealing with emergency works and ability to coordinate with various Dubai Municipality and other infrastructure authorities projects.
• Experience in Dealing Step by Step for DEWA Power Connection Requirements and strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Primavera P6.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and capacity to make decisions.
