Architect – Government Approvals; Authorities Liaison

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Architect/Approvals Engineer with a deep understanding of Dubai’s construction laws and authority regulations. The ideal candidate must act as a bridge between our contracting firm and government entities, ensuring all building permits, NOCs, and approvals are obtained swiftly and in full compliance with current standards.

• Authority Coordination: Lead the submission and follow-up process with Dubai Municipality (DM),
  RTA
  , DEWA
  , DCD (Civil Defence), and other relevant authorities.
• Permit Management: Manage the end-to-end process for Building Permits, BCC (Building Completion Certificates), and NOCs.
• Technical Compliance: Review architectural drawings to ensure they strictly adhere to Dubai Building Codes and authority regulations before submission.
• E-Government Systems: Proficiently handle online portals such as Dubai Building Permit System (BPS), RTA portals, and DM e-services.
• Issue Resolution: Proactively resolve any technical comments or rejections from authorities to avoid project delays.
• Liaison & Networking: Maintain strong professional relationships with government officials and examiners to expedite approvals.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in the UAE (specifically Dubai) within the contracting or consultancy sector.
• Authority Expertise: Proven track record with DM, RTA, DEWA, Trakhees, and Dubai Holding
  .
• Software: Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Skills: Strong negotiation skills, deep knowledge of RTA traffic impact studies, and DM zoning regulations.
• Language: Fluency in English is required;
  Arabic is a significant advantage for dealing with government officers.
• License:
  Society of Engineers (SOE) UAE membership is mandatory.
