Senior Structural Engineer - composites
** Composite Experience (GFRP / CFRP/ FRP) ESSENTIAL**
A leading engineering firm in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and implementation of complex composite structural systems. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a strong foundation in structural engineering principles and a passion for delivering high-standard solutions across a range of challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee structural design and analysis from concept to completion.
- Develop and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform advanced structural analysis using tools such as SAP
2000, ETABS, or equivalent software. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and compliance.
- Conduct rigorous testing to validate structural safety and performance.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support R&D initiatives and liaise with structural authorities when needed.
Requirements: 10–15 years of composite experience in structural engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license – mandatory.
- Expertise in both metal and advanced plastics composite materials including CFRP, GFRP, FRP
- Proficient in CATIA or similar CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and design methodologies.
- Capable of performing classical hand calculations and creating design spreadsheets.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and assess test protocols aligned with engineering standards.
