Position: Quantity Surveyor (DM Approved)

Job Summary: Responsible for controlling the pre-contract and post-contract documentations of projects by preparing the BOQ’s, calculating materials, appraising the value of proposed variations, verifying cost and invoices, carrying out periodic reports of progress, and processing final payments.

Candidates with experience in Dubai Emirates, in large scale infrastructure and Wet utility works, Sewerage systems, Storm-water network with consultants will be preferred.

Position: Quantity Surveyor (Infrastructure - Sewerage and Stormwater)

Location: Dubai Emirate

Work Duration: 2 Years

Mandatory: Dubai Municipality / RTA or similar Authority Approval

Responsibilities Pre-Contract
  • Prepare feasibility studies and budgets for proposed projects.
  • Assist the estimators in pricing the tender project based on the contractor’s quotations.
  • Quantity take-off and materials surveying based on the plans and specifications.
  • Prepare all tender documents such as Bills of Quantity (BOQ), Specifications, Addendum, Tender Analysis and other tender documentation.
Post-Contract
  • Review and approve the contractor’s monthly payments and issue payment certificates.
  • Evaluate and suggest recommendations on variations orders.
  • Verify and review the contractor's invoices to ensure strict compliance with the specifications.
  • Evaluate the final cost of the project and prepare final account documents.
  • Evaluate contractor’s claim.
  • Preparing cost budgets and prices for contract variations.
  • Monitoring project cost and preparation of cost reports.
  • Use techniques such as Cost Planning, Estimating, Cost Analysis, Cost-in-use Studies and Value Management to establish a project budget.
Education / Experience

Graduate in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying from recognized university.

MRICS, AIQS membership will be an added advantage.

8-10+ years as minimum overall experience in a comparable scope and size to the company, on large infrastructure/ Wet Utilities projects, is mandatory, including a minimum of three years in Dubai Emirates, with Consultants / PMC etc.
