Server Architect

VAM Systems is currently looking for a Server Architect for our UAE operations with the following skill sets and terms & conditions.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar roles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.

• Infrastructure Management
  • Design & define datacenter key components (storage, compute, backup).
  • Translate business requirements into correct technical solutions.
  • Select appropriate vendors/products based on latest datacenter technologies.
  • Produce high‑level and detailed design of datacenter components and interfaces.
  • Deep knowledge of virtualization technology across various hypervisors.
• Disaster Recovery and Backup
  • Develop high/low level disaster recovery infrastructure architecture.
  • Define operating model for fail‑over to DR and fail‑back.
  • Develop high/low level backup infrastructure architecture design.
  • Ensure smooth and secure backup and restoration operations.
  • Strong knowledge of storage technologies and products.
  • Design storage tiering architecture for hot and cold data.
• Cloud Resources Management
  • Advanced understanding of cloud technologies.
  • Assess on‑prem workloads and qualify migration to cloud.
  • Define operating model to monitor cloud resources and integrate with on‑prem.
• Capacity Planning
  • Monitor data center capacity and plan for future expansion or upgrades.
  • Manage resource allocation efficiently.
• Environmental Monitoring
  • Monitor data center environment (temperature, humidity, power).
  • Manage cooling and power systems to prevent outages.
  • Develop monitoring for carbon footprint and plans to reduce emissions.
• Security and Compliance
  • Implement and enforce data center security policies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards for data protection and privacy.

• Joining time frame: 15–30 days.
• Selected candidates will join VAM Systems – UAE and be deputed to one of the leading organizations in UAE.
