The successful Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Design and development of projects covering:
Material Selection, Chemical Treatment, Corrosion Monitoring, Protective Coatings, Cathodic Protection, Sour Service Material Selection and Industrial Water Treatment. - Good experience in using various available software's related to corrosion and materials issues.
- Develops conceptual design options for Corrosion mitigation and control systems. Recommends and designs studies to evaluate and identify the most appropriate and cost effective design concepts.
- Leads the investigation of technical and commercial aspects of project work as related to corrosion mitigation and control systems according to project requirement.
- Reviews and endorses tender and contract documents related to corrosion mitigation and control projects.
- Endorse selection of equipment including investigation and recommendation of suppliers and tenders analysis.
- Understand and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and quality standards.
- Accept responsibility and a level of accountability commensurate with the seniority of the position.
- Must have strong communication/presentation skills and have a very good command over both spoken and written English language.
- B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy or equivalent.
- Preferable Higher Degree in Corrosion Engineering & Materials.
- Certified NACE Specialist in any of the Four available NACE Specializations.
- Minimum Years of
Experience:
12 Years in Corrosion control and mitigation in oil & gas processing facilities.
