Junior Electrical Tendering Engineer

The Junior Electrical Tender Engineer will support project tenders from initial review through to final quotation, ensuring maximum Eaton content while fully meeting project requirements. The role plays a critical part in enabling Eaton to deliver competitive, profitable, and compliant bids with a clearly defined scope of work and accurate technical and commercial commitments.

This position requires the ability to interpret technical tender packages
, including drawings and specifications, to identify where Eaton’s solutions best fit. The Electrical Junior Tender Engineer will ensure full technical alignment of Eaton’s offer, including the preparation and agreement of CDEs (Comply, Deviate, Exceptions) across all technical aspects of the tender.

The role is office‑based (hybrid model), demanding strong communication skills and a high level of organization to effectively manage interactions with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders while meeting agreed turnaround times.

The candidate should have a background in electrical infrastructure
, with experience working on or around large‑scale projects
, and a solid understanding of the technical, commercial, and coordination challenges typically associated with such environments.

• Analyze incoming RFQs (Request For Quotation) from Customer
• Determine Eaton fit (all possible products) and ability to meet customer requirements through the interpretation of tender documents and clarification communications with both customers and internal product support owners.
• Ensure Eaton’s offer is aligning technically with customer specifications.
• Ensure CDE’s (Comply, Deviate, Exception) documents are complete and that the final Eaton offer matches technically the customer requirements.
• Coordinate with sales, applications, consultants, product owners, and the wider tender team such that Eaton bids are compelling and give the customer confidence in the offer proposed.
• Assist in preparation of costing as per standard process and tools.
• Support the development of and review offer documentation such that it is consistent with what is offered and the customer requirements.
• Ensure the specifications of equipment meets the customer’s requirements and needs.
• Meet agreed timelines for tenders and keep stakeholders aware of progress, any constraints.
• Perform technical risk and opportunity analysis.

• Bachelor/Masters (BSc/MSc) Degree, or Equivalent in a related field (Electrical & Electronic Engineering)
• 2+ years of engineering and design experience of electrical distribution systems networks with an Services & Projects business within large scale installation for Commercial & Industrial type projects.
• Data Center or similar critical power system experience strongly desirable.

• Primary & Secondary electrical power
• Power Distribution Systems and components design and requirements for MV and LV
• Uninterrupted Power Supplies and/or backup power strongly desired
• Eaton or similar industry product portfolio (Switchgear, LV assemblies, UPS, etc.)
• Automation (e.g. SCADA, other control systems) knowledge for Design Configuration & Commissioning a strong plus.
• Strong technical (electrical) and problem solving skills
• Proven track record of achieving objectives and solving problem
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication and influencing skills
• Ability to negotiate and drive alignment on technical designs
• Customer / people skills
