Fortes Education is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented MEP Procurement Officer to support the procurement function for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across our projects. The role will be responsible for sourcing, tendering, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of MEP installation and maintenance requirements.
Main Responsibilities- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), technical specifications, and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) documents.
- Interpret engineering and technical drawings to determine accurate quantities, scope, and material specifications.
- Issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, obtain quotations and proposals, and conduct detailed analysis to verify scope alignment.
- Prepare comparative statements and recommendations based on cost, compliance, and delivery timelines.
- Liaise effectively with external MEP and Civil contractors
, including but not limited to: - HVAC
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- CCTV and Security Systems
- Electrical Works
- Access Control Systems
- Plumbing and Drainage
- Support the preparation of tender and contract documentation, including detailed BOQs and contractual terms.
- Maintain proper procurement documentation and ensure filing of soft copies of orders, contracts, and key communications within SharePoint folders.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
. - Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in MEP installation and maintenance works.
- Strong knowledge of local UAE market suppliers, pricing, and contractor networks.
- Hands-on experience with ERP Supply Chain modules (SAP or Oracle preferred).
- AutoCAD knowledge would be considered an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications with strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Valid UAE driving license and own vehicle preferred.
