We are seeking a qualified ITS Design Engineer with a background in ICT / Telecommunications Engineering to contribute to the design, development, and integration of Intelligent Transportation Systems within smart city and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in design and coordination of ITS and ICT components, ensuring compliance with international standards and integration with other smart city systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and review ITS design drawings, technical specifications, and bill of quantities (BoQ) including: ITS and ICT infrastructure Traffic signal systems, Variable Message Signs (VMS), and incident detection systems Traffic monitoring CCTV systems, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS)
- Design and validate telecommunications infrastructure requirements
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (ICT, Civil, Electrical, and Mobility) for spatial planning and design integration.
- Ensure all designs align with international and local standards
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and authorities to present and justify ITS solutions.
- Ensure ITS systems are aligned with Smart City frameworks including IoT connectivity and centralized command and control platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, ICT Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3–6 years of proven experience.
- Sound knowledge of ITS & ICT technology hardware, software, and communication protocols (TCP/IP, LTE/5G, LoRaWAN, Fiber).
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
