Senior Structural Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team, providing technical guidance and support throughout all stages of the design process.
• Oversee the preparation and development of technical design documents, including drawings, calculations, design reports, and specifications for multidisciplinary water projects (WWTPs, pumping stations, water transmission systems, etc.).
• Collaborate with architectural, electrical, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure fully coordinated design deliverables.
• Manage and direct professional and technical staff to ensure successful completion of complex engineering projects.
• Coordinate internal resources and third‑party subcontractors to meet project schedules and quality requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and performance against established milestones.
• Review and approve technical submittals.
• Assist in preparing proposals and bids for upcoming projects.
• Act as the primary point of contact with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, and other key stakeholders.
• Coordinate and attend meetings with contractors, consultants, project owners, and related stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits, if needed assess field conditions.
• Liaise with clients to keep them informed of project progress and key developments.
• Maintain effective communication and coordination with all project stakeholders.
• Prepare and develop project progress updates and status reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering from a reputable institution.
• 15–20 years of relevant design experience, preferably in pumping stations, water, and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge and proven experience in structural design of deep underground reinforced concrete structures.
• Experience in the structural design of water‑retaining structures, underground tanks, industrial electrical buildings, and similar facilities.
• Strong proficiency in major structural design software, including SAP
  2000, SAFE, ETABS, and CSI Column.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Excellent collaborative, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
