• Responsible for survey and reconciliation of related mining operations in order to meet mining targets and legislative requirements.
• Driving the execution of construction, civil and cadastral surveying to business need and legislative requirements.
• Be responsible for the timeous calculation of ROM, final project stockpiles and waste and assist in compiling month end production reports for the financial department to determine the actual performance of the mining pits.
• Ensure that statutory plans are compiled from all survey data to ensure compliance to the Mine Health and Safety Act (Chapter 17).
• Direct operational activities to ensure compliance with all legal, environment, occupation health and safety risk management and standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and asset optimization initiatives for mining processes to ensure optimization of operational and production activities.
• Optimize human resources and foster a high work ethic amongst the team members, whilst driving a safe and healthy work environment.

• Mine Surveyors Government Certificate of Competency.
• Sound knowledge of Bentley Microstation, Maptek I-site or other survey software is required.
• 5 years’ Survey management experience in both underground and open pit operations
• Code B Driver’s License.
• Must be able to obtain a Certificate of Medical Fitness.
• Strong people skills, technical expertise, and an outcome orientation coupled with sharp focus on compliance, improvement, technology and safety will be a key success factor.
