Job Description

Job Overview:

The QHSES Assurance Specialist applies their conceptual QHSES Assurance knowledge with moderate guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership. They are responsible for solving a range of straightforward QHSES Assurance problems. They will analyze possible solutions using standard procedures and build knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The QHSES Assurance Specialist understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Perform audits as per plan monthly & report timely results/reports
  • Update established procedures & assist in preparing new procedures on a timely basis
  • Assist in developing statistical tools and analysis to monitor KPIs/QIs & other measurements
  • Maintain and publish KPI, QI, and COQ reports of key functions of the fabrication yard and projects & management report on a monthly and quarterly basis in soft and hard copies
  • Prepare and review procedures and work instructions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to review audit results and findings to ensure effective root cause analysis
  • Lead project teams of specialists, process owners, or other staff to ensure process improvement implementation
  • Use analytical and logical approaches to troubleshoot deficiencies and resolve issues through problem-solving techniques, Lean tools, coaching, and communication with process owners
  • Define best practices and promote a culture of process discipline and standardization
  • Coach and mentor process owners on trend analysis and data-driven decision-making
  • Provide process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and proposing improvements
  • Ensure sustainability of improvements through 30/60/90-day verification audits
  • Monitor and validate process outputs with functional leadership as needed
  • Maintain and facilitate reviews of Management Systems policies and procedures
  • Present results of Management System reviews to site/business leadership
  • Participate in special projects for the Quality department
  • Review management system documents within review cycles and governance procedures
  • Expedite documents through review cycles and publish upon approval
  • Manage document repository and ensure quality reporting from the system
  • Perform voids, supersedes, and deletions in the EDMS
  • Administer EDMS training and assign user rights
  • Design, implement, and enforce document templates
  • Advise on best practices for document creation and organization within EDMS
  • Report MS updates bi-weekly and monthly to the intranet
  • Format, circulate, and integrate documents into management systems
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field
  • 5+ years of industry experience related to EPC construction or fabrication
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and technical documentation
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into simple instructions or training materials
  • Strong communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement principles
  • ISO Auditor 9001, 14001, 45001, or similar certifications
  • Teamwork and leadership abilities
  • Experience with Management Systems and related software
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
