The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across the organization. The role ensures compliance with UAE regulations, promotes a strong safety culture, minimizes workplace risks, and supports continuous improvement in safety performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies in line with UAE laws and company standards.
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor compliance with HSE procedures, safe work practices, and permit-to-work systems.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and implement preventive measures.
Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training programs for employees and contractors.
Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety signage and emergency procedures.
Maintain HSE documentation, records, statistics, and reports for audits and management review.
Coordinate with site management, supervisors, and contractors to resolve safety-related issues.
Ensure environmental compliance, including waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices.
Support emergency preparedness, fire drills, and evacuation procedures.
Essential QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA certification (mandatory or highly preferred).
2–5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, facilities, or industrial sectors.
Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
Skills RequiredExcellent knowledge of risk assessment and hazard identification techniques.
Strong communication and training skills to engage workforce at all levels.
Ability to conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Good documentation, reporting, and compliance management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
