. Inter Continental Dubai Marina is a Five Star luxury hotel & residence in the heart of Dubai Marina with 328 rooms and residence suites, flexible event space and restaurants & bars. With over 30 languages and countries represented by the staff, the hotel weaves together an international five-star presence.

Your role will include but not be limited to:
  • Assist the Director of Engineering in planning and managing the department’s budget, capital projects, and energy conservation programs.
  • Supervise daily engineering operations, including maintenance of hotel systems, electrical equipment, HVAC, plumbing, lifts, and fire safety systems.
  • Lead and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment lifespan.
  • Monitor, assign, and follow up on maintenance work orders to ensure timely completion and quality results.
  • Oversee and inspect work performed by engineering staff and external contractors for compliance and efficiency.
  • Support development and execution of emergency response procedures and disaster management protocols.
  • Conduct daily inspections of hotel areas to identify safety hazards or maintenance needs and initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts; oversee procurement and storage in coordination with purchasing.
  • Foster a positive, safety‑oriented working environment encouraging teamwork, training, and proactive problem‑solving.
  • Act on behalf of the Director of Engineering during their absence, ensuring smooth department operations.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues, ensuring a swift and professional resolution.
  • Uphold Inter Continental Hotels & Resorts brand standards, safety regulations, and sustainability targets.

Ideally, you’ll have some or all the following qualifications and experience we’re looking for:
  • Technical, Vocational, or Trade School Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel engineering or maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, electrical, mechanical, and life safety equipment.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and energy management systems in a hotel environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem‑solving ability and capacity to perform under pressure.
